Lager & Company, Inc. 401(k) Advisory Client Services
Lager & Company, Inc., uses a highly disciplined approach to 401(k) plan investing that is logical, organized and disciplined. Our firm specializes in, and partners with you the retirement plan investor, in order to help you make better investment decisions and regain control of your retirement plan investments. Our firm culture is based on good investment advice, education and care.We believe very strongly that given the appropriate level of advice, you can and should call your own shots in your retirement plan. The ability to understand our retirement plan options and control the risk you take with your retirement money allows you to react unemotionally to a rising and falling stock market – instead of guessing at what to do next. Differentiation: Our primary strength is our ability to help clients manage their stock market risk. We use Morningstar fundamental research to help identify WHAT mutual funds to buy and Point & Figure Technical Analysis to identify WHEN to buy and WHEN to sell. There is nothing proprietary about the systems or methods we employ. There are two key principles we employ in managing the risk within your account. They are to PRESERVE WEALTH and to ACCUMULATE WEALTH. We preserve wealth by raising cash in the early stages of a stock market decline. We accumulate wealth by taking the cash we raised and reinvesting it in the best mutual funds in your retirement plan when the stock market moves back up. Responsibility: Our firm assumes the responsibility of watching your retirement plan options every day. We analyze changes in risk levels and inform you when it’s appropriate to modify your investment decisions. We provide easy-to-understand, specific advice regarding the mutual fund options in your company retirement plan. You will understand why we are making a recommendation, when to execute on it, and how it may effect your portfolio. We function as an early warning system for our retirement plan advisory clients. We intimately know our client’s retirement plan options, and use our web site, e-mails, phone calls and personal meetings to contact clients the two or three times a year when their retirement plan needs immediate attention. We are available every business day and return phone calls and e-mails each day, usually within 1 hour. Although our process for making risk-management decisions is well thought-out and structured, there will be times when an investment decision goes against us. Our investment strategy provides a game plan for when things go wrong. STOP orders are used to alleviate downside risk in each of your retirement plan mutual fund holdings. It’s OK to be wrong; it’s just not OK to stay wrong. That’s the essence of stock market risk management. Communication: We schedule yearly performance meetings with our 401(k) advisory clients to review decisions made during the year. During that meeting we will determine if it is mutually beneficial to continue the relationship. Lager & Company, Inc. provides real-time information on the specific mutual funds available in your retirement plan. When the stock markets begin to go down, you need to get the WEALTH PRESERVATION information available to help you make better decisions. This small change in your investment behavior over the last three years would have given you less volatility and more money in your retirement plan today. Commitment: There are far too few people willing to make and keep commitments. With Lager & Company, Inc., you have come across a relationship that is very different from what you may have come to expect from financial professionals. At Lager & Company, Inc., we are committed to telling you the truth at all times, especially when you may not really want to hear it. If we don’t know the answer to your question, we will say so---and then move heaven and earth to get you the right answer. We will never tell you that we can do something that we can’t. And finally, we will never tell you we are going to do something, and then not do it. Our commitment to you is that our stock market risk management advice will be honest and straightforward in your best interest. We take the personal pressure off you by taking the responsibility to watch your retirement plan assets every day and to be accountable for the measurable results in preserving and growing the value of your retirement plan.
